Steve Hackman brings together two giants of music - from two vastly different genres.
What happens when you mash up the music of one of classical music's most famous and beloved composers, with the hard hip hop tunes of contemporary rapper Drake? That's what the Columbus Symphony Orchestra are set to discover this September in a special one-off concert that promises to bring two very different musical genres together in perfect harmony!
Featuring three classical vocalists and a rapper (artists to be announced), we will experience the delights of Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony melded with more than a dozen of rapper Drake's biggest chart hits including "Hold On", "We're Going Home," "Started from the Bottom," "Find Your Love," "Hotline Bling," and "Jumpman." Visionary composer and maestro Steve Hackman will conduct the evening's festivities.
