Let the Sunshine In with the iconic Hair! A truly moving yet jubilant celebration of youth, identity, sexuality, and activism, it has become synonymous with Hippie culture in the nearly sixty years since its first showing and yet remains a vital portrait of the power of the young in an ever-changing world.
Set in 1967, Hair is the story of a rag-tag group of hippy kids known as The Tribe who haunt the East Village of New York City. In the face of growing unrest both at home and abroad, it is a peon to the age, where young people began to speak out for freedom and liberation, protesting the Vietnam War in a flash of song and color whilst learning more about themselves in a wild and sexually liberated society. With a score including 'Let The Sunshine In', 'Aquarius', and of course, 'Hair' it's a joyous romp with an irresistible message of acceptance
