BalletMet Columbus - Giselle

BalletMet Columbus - Giselle at Speaker Jo Ann Davidson Theatre

Why see BalletMet Columbus - Giselle?

Hailed as one of the most potent romances of all time, BalletMet, founded in 1978, celebrates their 40th season with the iconic story of Giselle. This season also boasts exciting collaborations with companies including Ohio State University's Department of Dance, and the Tulsa Ballet in Oklahoma.

Depicting the French romance that debuted in 1841, Giselle will be showcased in February following a rendition of The Nutcracker, and preceded by Dorothy and the Prince of Oz. Giselle will be choreographed by the company's artistic director Edwaard Liang with music from the original French music composer Adolphe Adam.

This season will also feature two collections of short ballets, featuring works by late Broadway choreographers and performers Jerome Robbins and George Balanchine.
