After its debut at the Yale Repertory Theater in 2012, The Realistic Joneses premiered on Broadway starring Toni Collette and Michael C Hall in 2014 to much critical acclaim. Now Brooklyn-based playwright Will Eno's thought-provoking and stunning meditation on mortality comes to Columbus' Riffe Center for a locally produced run this Spring, as part of Catco's vibrant 201-18 season.
Eno's poetry within everyday language dances around characters that embody the disconnect between mundane day-to-day living and the unspoken fears, love and aspirations that often lie deep within. Suburban couple Bob and Jennifer meet their new neighbours John and Pony, finding they are kindred spirits with whom they have a lot in common. As their lives intertwine, they examine their relationships while death waits in the wings...
