The Columbus Symphony takes us on a journey into the wonderful world of folklore and mythology, as referenced in the works of three world-loved composers - Wagner, Greig, and Sibelius. Conducted by Rossen Milanov and featuring the talents of pianist Alessio Bax and the unique video art of Jason Gay.
From the tragic Celtic romance of Tristan und Isolde as detailed by Wagner, to a stunning tribute to the Nordic landscape by Grieg in his Piano Concerto, and finally the glory of Finnish myths in Sibelius' Lemminkainen Suite, this expansive program celebrates the magic and tradition of myths from the old world.
